Obituary for Mrs. Linda Spruill
Goldsboro- The Management and Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors join with the Spruill and connected families to announce the earthly transition of Mrs. Linda Fay Spruill, 70, of Goldsboro, who left her earthly home to reunite with her heavenly family and friends on April 18th, 2023, after a difficult battle with cancer. Linda was born on March 8th, 1953, to Emma and Russell Bailey.
Linda was a kind, caring, and loving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Linda was always there for her family, she was a woman of strong faith, and she instilled in her children and grandchildren the importance of family, hard work, and doing what is right. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Spruill, mother, Emma Gurley, father, Russell Bailey, and brothers, Donnie and Wilton Bailey.
Mrs. Linda will be greatly missed by her sister Adelle (Linwood) Carter, sisters-in-law Ruth Bailey and Linda Bailey, daughter Paula Mullins, sons Richard (Shirley) Spruill, Teddy (Leanna) Ginn, and Tony (Denise) Ginn, grandchildren Joey, Chris, Karla, Gunner, Ashley, and Tiffany, nine great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends.
Friends and family are welcome to attend Linda’s funeral service, which will be held on April 22nd, 2023, at The Salvation Army of Goldsboro (610 N William St. Goldsboro NC 27530) at 2 p.m. A private burial will be held later in Elizabeth City, NC.
