It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved son, father, brother, and uncle, McKinley “Burchie” Mathis Jr. who left us much too soon at the age of 30. McKinley passed away Abruptly March 25,2023
McKinley, was a kind and loving individual who always put his family first. He was a devoted son to his parents, a doting father to his child, and a supportive brother and uncle to his siblings and nieces and nephews. He had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up any room.
McKinley had a passion for life and was always looking for new adventures to embark on. He loved to travel and experience new cultures, and he was never one to turn down an opportunity to try something new. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make those around him laugh.
McKinley will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He touched so many lives during his short time with us, and his memory will live on forever in our hearts. We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who passed before him.
McKinley is survived by his parents, Amanda Council & McKinley Mathis Sr. (Iesha), his child Nyla Essence Mathis, his siblings, Ramon Council, Shanta Mathis, Justice Mathis, Tavoris Mathis, Arianna Mathis, Kenneth Arrington, and his nieces and nephews,. You will never be forgotten. #LLBurChoosen
