Obituary for Baby Boy Dae'jon Kareem Sutton

It is with Great sorrow that we, the Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors, join with the Sutton, Morgan, and connected families to announce the untimely departure of Baby Boy Dae'jon Kareem Sutton.

Baby boy Dae’jon Kareem Sutton was born on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, in Goldsboro, NC, to Skyonnah Morgan, Johnnie L. Sutton lll, and was the baby brother of Sekani Morgan. He departed this life on March 19, 2023, at UNC Wayne Memorial, Goldsboro, NC.
Sweet baby, a nickname mom gave him, was a loving and happy baby. He had a big smile and a laughter that would warm your heart. He enjoyed playing and laughing with his best friend, his big brother. He enjoyed his
daddy holding him high in the air, and when he seen his mom come through the door, he would reach for her with that big smile. Dae’jon was loved by his parents, brother, and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents Nancy Moffet and Andrew Evans, paternal great-grandmother Lucy Artis Williams, and a great aunt Tanesha Evans.
Dae’jon leaves to cherish his memories. His parents Sky, Junior, and his older brother Sekani of the home. Maternal grandparent, Thomsina Evans of Mt. Olive, NC; paternal grandparents Pia Artis Pollard of Goldsboro, NC, and Johnnie (Renee) L. Sutton lll, of Pikeville, NC; paternal great grandparents Johnnie (Vera) L. Sutton Sr., of Mt. Olive NC; godmother Carrie Strong, of Boston. A host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.

POEM
“This was a life that had hardly begun No time to find your place in the sun No time to do all you could have done, But we loved you enough for a lifetime” Author: Mary Yarnall.

Sekani would do everything Dae'jon did as if Dae'jon was the big brother, from crawling on one leg to mocking every sound he made. Dae'jon had a smile that would bring you joy if you were having a bad day. Though his time here with us wasn't long enough, we're thankful for the time GOD allowed us to have you here. You'll always be mama's sweet baby and our fat daddy. We'll miss you, but it brings us peace knowing you are with GOD!!!
We love you, son; until we meet again, our sweet baby boy, momma, and daddy love you. You'll remain in our hearts and thoughts forever.
As you reign with God, we know you will keep watching over your family, our angel.
Love momma, daddy, and little man.
