Obituary for Mr. Melvin Eugene Hall

The management and staff of Serenity Memorial Funeral Home extend its sincerest condolences to the family of Mr. Melvin Eugene Hall, 76, who transitioned on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at the SECU Hospice House, Smithfield, NC.

Melvin Eugene Hall, 76, was born to the late Zilphia Hall on November 18, 1943. He passed away peacefully on May 23, 2020 at the Hospice House in Smithfield, NC

He was raised in Fremont, NC. He lived in Washington D.C and worked in a bakery in Rockville, MD for many years. He then worked at Giant Foods in Washington D.C. prior returning to his hometown. He was known for his outspoken nature and expressive personality. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing and spending time with his family and friends. He knew the Lord and read the bible regularly.

Melvin was preceded by his mother Zilphia Hall; sisters Lucy Hall and Rematha Artis. He is survived by his two sisters Mary Hall Sprueill(Julius) and Elnora Hall; one brother Willie Lee Hall; two nephews Lawerence Hall and Corey Hall; four nieces Belinda Hall, Kim Hall Worthington, Danyale Hall(Roland Harris) and Monique Sprueill; special niece Eleanor Hall Lewis (De’Toya) and a host of great nieces and nephews.
